Getting Around from the Port
As a private island exclusively for Disney Cruise Line guests, Castaway Cay does not have a traditional "town center" or independent public transport options like taxis or local buses. All areas and activities on the island are managed by Disney. Guests disembark directly onto the island and can navigate most areas by walking. For longer distances, Disney typically provides complimentary tram services to various parts of the island, such as the family beach, adult-only beach (Serenity Bay), and other activity zones. There are no car rental options available.
Attractions and Activities
All activities and "excursions" on Castaway Cay are managed by Disney Cruise Line. There are no independent tour operators or options to visit nearby towns or islands, as the entire experience is contained within the private island. The primary activities, as highlighted, include tropical leisure such as snorkeling, boating, swimming, and old-fashioned sunbathing. Guests can enjoy various beach areas, designated swimming lagoons, and water sports rentals. Specific activity prices are set by Disney and can be booked onboard or in advance through the cruise line.
