Getting Around from the Port
Catania's city center is compact and easily explored on foot, just a 15-minute walk (2 km) from the port. Taxis are available at the port entrance for those preferring not to walk.
For exploring beyond Catania, public transport options like buses and trains connect to various parts of Sicily.
- Taormina: Reachable by bus in approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes. There are typically nine buses per day, though only three operate on Sundays.
