A key shopping spot is the San Juan del Sur market in the town’s center, open Monday through Saturday until around 4 PM, offering local meat, fruits, vegetables, prepared food, sandals, clothes, household goods, and even shoe and bag repair services. For a unique souvenir, Nicaraguan hammocks are renowned for their quality and comfort. Locals also sell hand-carved wood products and colorful paintings directly to cruise visitors on the beach. Standard shopping hours are Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 19:00, and Saturday from 09:00 to 18:00.
