Weather
Sint Maarten has a tropical climate with warm, sunny conditions year-round and temperatures consistently between 77°F and 88°F (25–31°C). The peak cruise season from December to April brings the driest weather, lowest humidity, and calmest seas, making it the best time for beach visits and duty-free shopping. Hurricane season runs from June to November, so pack lightweight clothing, swimwear, sunscreen, and a light rain jacket.
Currency and Language
The official currency on the Dutch side (Sint Maarten) is the Netherlands Antilles Florin (guilder), while the Euro is used on the French side (St. Martin). However, the US Dollar is widely accepted on both sides of the island, so there is no need to exchange your currency.
While Dutch and French are the official languages, English is the primary language spoken and understood across both sides of the island, making communication easy for visitors.
