Weather
Bozcaada (Tenedos) in the northern Aegean has a Mediterranean climate with warm, dry summers between 77–86°F (25–30°C) during the cruise season from May to October. Light clothing, sunscreen, and sunglasses are essential. The ancient Venetian and Ottoman castle, the charming traditional Greek stone houses, the island's own wine production (unusual for Turkey), and the extraordinary proximity to Troy make this small island uniquely rich in classical history.
Safety
No specific safety concerns beyond standard travel precautions are noted for Bozcaada.
Currency and Language
The local currency is the Turkish Lira (TL). While Euros and US Dollars may be accepted in some larger establishments or tourist-focused businesses, particularly in coastal resorts, it is highly advisable to carry Turkish Lira for general use, especially for smaller purchases and if you plan to explore beyond the immediate port area.
